Oh for a heart that is yoked in this bloke
For whom prayer is not a joke
Oh for a stirring on my way
Oh for Your power in me every day
Oh for a heart like my Savior who being in agony prayed
Such caring for others in me Lord not be delayed
Make me an instrument of Your Peace all day
And I pray, Have Thine own way."
My Reflection:
Oh for His Word in me and not just around me
Oh that I can live and personify the Word for all to see
People have the Word on their crackberries and I-pods but not in their heart
I am one of those who cause misery by my failure to impart
The experience of God that I hold in my heart
Oh that I may concretize my faith in the positive deeds I do
Oh that my example and lifestyle be the things that woo
Oh that I may refrain from seeking luxury and greed
While others die of poverty, hunger and need
My World Cup Prayer
May all your penalties and offences not be booked
And may your petty fouls be overlooked
May you be refereed by the Savior
May you be allowed throw-ins after each bad behavior
May your gossip and malice be ruled offside
And may all your sincere efforts be ruled onside
May you get many free kicks out of affliction
And may your corner kicks get you out of unwelcome addiction
May you never get a red card before life's full time whistle
May you be waved to play on in spite of the thistle
May you have substitute energy for life's challenges and stressors
May you stay peaceful in spite of your aggressors
May you win the world cup not of 2010 but of everlasting life!
